japanese rail modellers? I know of one, but how common is it

Hi,

Bit of a curve-balled topic. I know one person (a train guard who works at my depot) who's very much into Japanese rail modelling and is also a fan of the real thing.

How many other people (esp. here in Australia?) are into Asian rail modelling, not so much specifically Japanese prototype?

It's a lot more common than many people would expect. I think most people who model it would belong to the "silent majority" of modellers who don't belong to clubs.

If you ask down at Tom's at West Ryde, they sell a heap of Kato N track.

I have a couple of grand worth of japanese N. I'm always impressed by the quality and reliability.

I wouldn't model anything else.
