Wanted - idea of value for brake handle stamped '40 class'

Hi everyone,

I've got an unusual item - it's a brake valve handle with '40 CLASS' stamped on it. Is anyone able to to come up with a legitmate estimate for
it's value as a collectable and very rare piece of NSW railwayana?

Ok so I've decided to sell it. I'm looking for offers of A$250 or more given it's rarity and heritage value.
